I currently ride a 2022 1290 SAR, and I have a 950S. I'm from South Africa and I think the 1290 SAR is the best all-rounder bike!

Rode mine 5700 miles from the UK to Nord Kapp and back in 9 days. (had to get back for the ABR festival ) Awesome ride awesome bike should have kept it.
