A challenge in the backcountry. After 30 years and nearly 300,000 km of pavement riding, I was excited to see the 890 Adventure R come out when I was coming down with a bad case of ADV fever. This was the summer of 2023 when I went on a challenging day ride over 160 km of off road. Steep hills, loose, slippery gravel, and amazing scenery; we had it all!

I feel the power of torque everytime I squeeze the throttle. Its a good start for a beginner bike. A bike that you can ride both on track and streets. Easy to handle and very smooth while riding. You just have to adjust the suspension based on your weight and riding habit. Fuel consumption is lesser compared to other rivals.
